Hashoo Foundation has been supporting various Afghan refugee programs, in Pakistan, since 1999 and has helped to train hundreds of children, men and women over the past 10 years.

Skills Training and Income Generation for Urban Afghan Refugees Project" enabled men and women to take advantage of self-employment opportunities which results in increasing their household income.

The objective of "Skills Training and Income Generation for Urban Afghan Refugees Project" is to provide appropriate vocational skill trainings to unemployed Afghan refugees, men and women living in Pakistan.

Currently, Hashoo Foundation is implementing, US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees & Migration (PRM) funded project, titled “Skills Training and Income Generation for Urban Afghan Refugees”. Main objective of this project is to provide appropriate vocational skill trainings to unemployed Afghan refugees, men and women living in Pakistan, to enable them to take advantage of labor market or self-employment opportunities and eventually increasing their household income.
Under this project, trainings are being conducted in 11 different trades namely:
  Auto Mechanic
  Auto Electrician
  Mobile Repairing
  Beautician
  Civil Surveying
  Plumbing
  Information Communication Technology (ICT)
  Building Electrician
  Tailoring
  Cooking
  English Language
